“Journalism shows the truth of things”
I have wanted to be a journalist since Grade 7 (13 yo) because I like to travel and learn many new things. Besides, I like being social with people. I have no desire for those jobs that require going to an office and doing the same task every day.
I have my phone and a computer on which I can do video editing. This is all I need. My goal is to write articles that cover issues that are relevant across the world. I also want to shoot videos while pursuing my media studies and improving my technical skills.
My favorite story is about cybersecurity in Myanmar before and after the coup. This feature was the hardest and longest to complete as we had to do many interviews under anonymity, to update facts constantly as the situation was evolving very fast and to face dire working conditions while reporting.
The reason I keep working as a journalist is that this career suits my values and passions. I will keep on going whatever it takes. The power of Photography/Journalism is that it shows the truth about things people might be already aware of or not. That is something that people will always need whenever and wherever.
